With effect from January 1st, 2019 only electronic invoices for municipality Groningen

The municipality of Groningen is improving its invoice processing process by using e-invoices. From January 1st 2019 onward we can accept e-invoices.

Why does the municipality of Groningen consider e-invoicing important?
We want to create more efficiency in the entire financial process by receiving all invoices directly in the financial administration. This makes our entire financial process more efficient and allows us to pay invoices quickly.

What is e-invoicing?
